Air Canada Cargo is partnering with GTA dnata at Toronto Pearson International Airport to provide specialized handling services for pharmaceutical shipments. The collaboration is designed to improve the safe and secure transportation of temperature-sensitive medicines through Toronto.
CEIV-Certified Pharmaceutical Handling
GTA dnata’s facility is certified under the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) CEIV Pharma program, which focuses on high standards for pharmaceutical logistics. The facility is equipped to handle temperature-sensitive shipments in different environments and uses advanced monitoring technology.
Under the agreement, pharmaceutical export and import shipments booked with Air Canada Cargo that originate in, are destined for, or transit through Toronto will be handled at GTA dnata.
Supporting the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain
Pharmaceutical products require careful handling throughout the transportation process, particularly when shipments must remain within specific temperature ranges. The partnership gives Air Canada Cargo customers access to a specialized facility and dedicated agents for shipment acceptance and retrieval.
